HUNTINGTON BEACH — November 2, 2026. Orange County Waste & Recycling lists a household hazardous waste drop-off at 17121 Nichols Street in Huntington Beach, open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except major holidays and rain closures.
How to reach the proper entrance
The county says the collection area is reached through Gate 6, off Warner Avenue between Beach Boulevard and Gothard Street. This is not the same gate as the commercial solid waste transfer-station scale house.
Who may use it
The county prohibits waste from businesses, schools, nonprofits, churches and government agencies at its household centers. Residents from outside Orange County are not eligible. Visitors should verify approved material categories and container limits before loading a vehicle.
Safety rules
Keep chemicals in labeled original containers when possible, separate incompatible products, and do not mix solvents, fuels or pesticides together. The center’s published weekday hours may be shortened for rain; checking the county site prevents an unnecessary trip.
